History

Initial construction was completed in June 1989, subsequent expansions occurred in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998. Site area is 34,427 m². Actual floor Area is 6,400 m².

In 1989 the Exclusive Synthesis & Catalysts business unit started manufacturing and supplying precious metal powder catalysts in Japan and to Asia. Two further business units, Advanced Fillers & Pigments (Rubber Chemicals) and Specialty Acrylics (Pharma Polymers), also operate at the Tsukuba plant.
